New City Talent Announces “Lord, Let Me Leave a Song” Tour
Naomi Sego...one of the most respected names in gospel music, and indeed a living legend reaches three milestones in her career and in her life this year. She is celebrating her 75th birthday and her 48th anniversary in full time music ministry, and she is releasing her 75th recording appropriately entitled, "Lord, Let Me Leave A Song."In recognition of these milestones, New City Talent has announced the "Lord, Let Me Leave A Song" Tour to celebrate the life and legacy of gospel music's first lady. Randall Wilds, CEO of New City Talent states, "Naomi is one of the true pioneers of pure southern gospel music, and a prominent figure that will forever be imprinted on the pages of American music history. But I am most grateful for the eternal impact her Christian influence has made in my own life. Promoting this tour in her honor is just a small token of my deep appreciation for her."
The "Lord,Let Me Leave A Song" Tour will headline Naomi And The Segos performing a classic collection of hits as made famous by the original group, accompanied by a multi-media presentation highlighting Naomi's career in the early years. Special performances by The Jeff Treece Band and John Lanier will also be featured as part of the tour. John shares, "This is very exciting for me because Naomi is the one who gave me my start in gospel music more than 16 years ago. Singing with Naomi again will surely rekindle some very wonderful memories for me, and this tour with her will certainly create new memories and special moments that will be cherished for the rest of my life."
Naomi has made countless friends and has shared the stage with numerous prominent artists in the music business during her career. Naomi's tenor singer, Kasey Kemp reveals, "We are already receiving phone calls from some major names and high profile figures wishing to congratulate Naomi and inquiring about this tour. Though no other guest appearances have been specially planned, I suspect a few surprise visits from time to time, during the tour."
The "Lord, Let Me Leave A Song" Tour is slated to launch March 24th in Chattanooga, TN as an added attraction to the Southern Gospel Music FanFair, held at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Additional tour dates include Tupelo, MS, Warner Robins, GA, Marion, IL and more.
