About Me

I'm 58 years old and been involved in Southern Gospel Music for well over 35 years. I'm involved for two reasons. First, the message of the Gospel of Christ rings loud and clear, and secondly, I just plain love the music. SGM gives me a little country, a little traditional quartet, a little progressive, and a little family music. That is great diversification.

You can talk bad about me and that's OK, but if you talk bad about the music I love, the woman I love or any of my kids, we will tangle.

I own the largest web source for SGM on the internet, SouthernGospelNews.com, which is very informative and entertaining and a great deal of fun to run.

Many MANY years ago, I am thinking you were in the area hosting Higher Ground at West Frankfort High School - and my mother and attended - didnt you also have a group along with a cousin of yours (her name was Janice?)

Deon Unthank's avatar Wow, you have a great memory. Janice Lloyd Crow is one of the founding members of The Sunday Edition.
BTW, "Many" years ago would have been plenty....... you're starting to make me feel old..... LOL

Actually that was one of the best periods of my life, and I don’t forget the good things. Hopefully. I still correspond with Linda Robinson Sholar, the former pianist for Higher Ground - she may have been gone and married by the time of the West Frankfort gig. However she tells me that Wayne is still on the road - going strong. I live in Marion, Illinois still yet. I have a 17 yr old. I ask that you keep us in your prayers and I will do that same. Nice to find someone from my past. How are you involved in Gospel Music these days? Take care.
